Seismic‑While‑Drilling (SWD) & Surface Seismic Joint Data Acquisition OperationIn August 2026, a joint data acquisition operation combining seismic‑while‑drilling and surface seismic was completed in Inner Mongolia. The borehole size is 8.5 in., and the logging interval ranges from 603 m to 2053 m, with operating of 180 hours. The downhole SWD subassembly receives vibration signals from the drill bit, as well as torque and weight‑on‑bit (WOB) data. Wireless storage‑type seismic sensors are deployed on the wellsite surface. Along the borehole well path forward direction, 57 sensors are placed at 50‑meter intervals starting from the wellhead. Along the reverse direction of the borehole well path, 43 sensors are placed at 50‑meter intervals starting from the wellhead. |
